September 21, 2015Baton Rouge, LA – The Louisiana Used Motor Vehicle Commission (LUMVC) held an Administrative Hearing on March 17, 2014, on TERRI FARROW, INDIVIDUALLY AND ON BEHALF OF AUTO BROKERS OF LA, LLC DBA LA AUTO BROKERS AND MARC ENGERAN,located at 2300 West Street Hammond, LA 70401. This dealership was assessed fines for the following violations. Five hundred dollars and no/100 ($500.00) each for the one (1) count in violation of La. R.S. 32:792(B)(2) Committing a fraudulent act in selling, purchasing, or dealing in used motor vehicles or misrepresenting the terms and conditions of a sale, purchase, or contract for sale or purchase of a used motor vehicle or any interest including, an option to purchase. Two hundred and no/100 ($200.00) each for the two (2) counts in violation of La. R.S. 32:792(B)(8) Failing to delivery certificates of title to a consumer within the time limitations prescribed in R.S. 32:705. One hundred fifty dollars and no/100 ($150.00) each of one (1) count in violation of La. R.S. 32:792(B)(9) Failing to submit any monthly sales reports to Motor Vehicle Audit by the twentieth day of the following month. Two hundred dollars and no/100 ($200.00) each for the ninety-eight (98) counts in violation of La. R.S. 32:792(B)(12) Issuing temporary license plates or temporary dealer plates in violation of the law. Five hundred dollars and no/100 ($500.00) each for one (1) count in violation of La. R.S. 32:792(B)(13) Failing to maintain records for a period of up to three (3) years. Six hundred and fifty dollars and no/100 ($650.00) for all costs of the investigation and administrative hearing.
JUDGEMENT: $21,800 FINE
